Dubai International Airport is gearing up to welcome more than 2 million travelers over the next 11 days. This is due to the upcoming holiday’s Eid al-Adha and summer breaks for schools.

The busiest travel period will be June 24 to July 4, with the average daily traffic being over 214,000 passengers. The busiest day is expected to be on July 2, when 230,000 passengers are expected daily.

There will be about the same number of passengers at DXB for the Eid al-Adha weekend.

The airport operator issued a travel advisory warning to holiday travelers about the busy travel period.

If you’re traveling to a destination that requires the relevant documents, make sure you bring them. Weigh your luggage at home and double-check it. Be prepared for security checks in order to avoid long lines at airports.

Those traveling with families and children over 12 years old should use the Smart Gates to avoid long lines.

DXB had a passenger increase of over 13 million in the first quarter of 2022 and is expected to double its annual traffic by the end. The airport expects 58.7 million passengers this year.

To avoid delays and long lines, travelers should arrive at the airport around three hours before departure. Travelers flying out of Terminal 1 can use online check-in, while those traveling from Terminal 3 can use Emirates’ early and self-service check-in.

Friends and family of passengers are advised to go to the airport’s designated lot since you can only get to the arrivals area in Terminal 3 with public transport or a permitted vehicle.

Use Dubai Metro to get from the airport. It operates 24 hours a day during the Eid holidays.
