With the opening of four new private schools during the 2022–2023 academic year, Dubai’s educational sector is continuing to expand steadily.

7000 additional seats will be available in the new schools, which will offer the British, American, and International Baccalaureate curricula.

The number of students enrolled in Dubai’s private schools in April of this year exceeded 300,000, the highest number ever recorded in the city’s history, solidifying its position as a top destination for education.

187 different nationalities are represented among Dubai’s private school students, which is indicative of the city’s rich cultural diversity and thriving educational environment. Additionally, Dubai is home to 10 locations of prestigious international schools, including Durham School and the recently inaugurated Royal Grammar School Guildford.

In this regard, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, stated that the private education sector in Dubai is distinguished by the diversity of its students, its curricula, and the options it provides parents from various communities.

In addition to attracting new families who move to Dubai in search of the top-notch education their children will receive, this diversity spurs growth.

The Chinese School Dubai made history last year when it became the first organization to ever offer the Chinese national curriculum for K–12 education outside of China.

The highly regarded Hangzhou No. 2 High School in China’s teaching methodology is brought to Dubai by the school’s new campus, which is situated in the heart of Mirdif.

Due to its development as a center for business, investment, and talent as well as its expanding function as a bridge between markets and cultures.

Dubai has seen a noticeable increase in the number of schools serving particular communities in recent years. 21 new private schools have opened in Dubai in the last three years alone, bringing the total number of schools in the sector to 215 and the number of options for an international curriculum to 18.

The top choice is a school with a UK curriculum (35%) followed by ones with an Indian curriculum (26%), a US curriculum (16%), and an International Baccalaureate (6%)

Investors and educators from all over the world view Dubai as a promising location for putting into practice top-notch educational models that combine local curricula with a global perspective. For instance, the Chinese School in Dubai aims to encourage students’ high-level learning and innovation while assisting them in forming an international perspective.

The school provides students with a Chinese curriculum in addition to Arabic as a second language, Islamic studies, moral education, and local studies based on the national curriculum of the UAE. The non-profit school is accepting students from other nationalities even though it has primarily served the Chinese community in the emirate.

Dubai is expected to continue expanding as an educational destination offering a variety of schooling options in its new phase of economic growth, alongside its growth as an investment, innovation, and commercial hub.

Dubai is poised to further enhance its reputation as a hub for prestigious schools from around the world by steadily keeping pace with new advancements in educational models, methodologies, and technologies.
