One speaker at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) event explained Dubai’s infrastructure, business-friendly policies, and flexible regulations will keep it at the forefront of the world’s FDI destinations. The city meets global investors’ needs by providing world-class infrastructure and services.

Dubai’s tourism sector attracted 6.4 billion Dhs ($1.7 billion) in FDI across 30 FDI projects in 2020, and these investments created 5,545 jobs. Dubai enjoyed increased FDI in 2019 because of its rise to being one of the safest destinations in the world. They also heavily supported global travel and tourism by celebrating COVID-19, now Expo 2020 Dubai.

In 2017-2118, Dubai was the top international city for attracting investment in tourism and created 30,083 jobs. Dubai welcomed over 7.3 million international overnight visitors in 2021, representing 32% year-over-year growth, and underscoring its efforts to become the world’s most visited destination.

Dubai has attracted more than 24 million visitors. The world’s most popular destination, Dubai was awarded the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022.
