The Emirati women’s day is celebrated every year on the 28th of August, is a celebration of women’s empowerment and their role in society in the UAE.
This special day honours the many accomplishments of the country’s women and serves as a reminder to the world of the remarkable steps the UAE has taken in support of women’s equality and rights.

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi also referred to as the Mother of the Nation, established Emirati Women’s Day in 2015 to celebrate the significant advancements made in the UAE in the areas of gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Sheikha Fatima was recognised by UN Women in 2017 for her efforts to advance gender equality and female emancipation in the UAE. The special day celebrates the contributions of Emirati women and recognises their commitment, fortitude, and accomplishments that have influenced the country.

From the start of 2022 to the end of July, there were 28,507 businesswomen who owned licences completely or partially.
The distribution of businesswomen licences was split between two categories: professional (69%) and commercial (31%).
Gender Inequality Index: GII is a composite metric of gender inequality using 3 dimensions: Reproductive health, empowerment & the labour market. The United Arab Emirates was ranked 18th globally and 1st In the Arab World.
Females’ perception of community safety: Percentage of women ages 15 and older who report that they feel safe walking alone at night in the city or area where they live. UAE RANKS AT 1ST GLOBALLY
